Triathlon Rental Equipment
At Urban Tri, we want to help you race faster and more comfortably. We know that quality gear is important to this process. Because we understand that investing in all of this equipment at once can be overwhelming, we offer rental equipment at excellent prices. Whether you’re flying in for a race without a lot of baggage or just want to try some new equipment before you make a big purchase, we can rent you the equipment you need.
If you’re competing in your first triathlon and want to try a wetsuit for the first time, our TYR Hurricane Category 1 wetsuits are an excellent option. These wetsuits are available in both men’s and women’s models so we can help you find a perfect fit for you. If you’ve been competing for years and want to experience how race wheels can increase your speed on the bike, we can rent you a set of Hed Jet 6 front/Jet 9 rear race wheels. All rentals are available for pickup on Tuesday and must be returned by the following Monday.
Rental Prices:
- Sleeveless Wetsuit: $45 per week
- Race Wheels: $125 per week
Saddle Demos
Great gear can help improve your race times, but only if it fits properly. At Urban Tri we can fit your bike, help you choose the proper wetsuit or provide you with a demo saddle. Your saddle is the most important interface between you and your bike. For this reason, we want to ensure you find one that feels just right. Because we know how hard it is to choose the right one, we offer both Fi:zi’k and ISM/Adamo Demo saddles. You can try one or both on your bike before you make the investment in this essential piece of gear.
Bike Maintenance & Repair
Unfortunately, quality equipment doesn’t take care of itself. Your triathlon gear, especially your bike, needs regular maintenance in order to work properly. At Urban Tri, no job is too small or too big for our service department. If you need your tubular tires mounted, we can do that. If you need your wheels trued, built or balanced, we can do that too. We can also pack your bike for shipment, assemble it if you’ve flown in for a race or give it a quick pre-race check. In addition, we also offer a full range of tune-up services, including a basic tune-up for $60 and a full “Spa Treatment” tune-up for $100.
Training Advice & Referral
Although the right gear can help you race faster, it can’t help you win if you don’t train properly. Our staff can assist in this process by recommending a coach, helping you find group workouts or offering suggestions for biking routes. You can also meet your friends at our shop for group training sessions. We’ll watch your bike while you do a brick workout and let you use our shower when you’re done!
