| Kinetic Trainers and Accessories
Winter in Minnesota necessitates riding your bike inside if you want to stay in shape. We have Kinetic Road Machine fluid trainers and all the accessories you’d need spend time on your bike while the winds howl outside. If all you need is a trainer we’ll knock 20% off the price until Christmas. Buy a trainer at full price and we’ll throw in a mat, riser block and “sweat net” for $64 (50% off.) |
| Winter Spa Treatment
Bring in your bike between November 1st and the end of the year and get a Winter Spa Treatment. We’ll completely dissasemble your ride, clean and inspect your frame and fork and run your drivetrain through the parts washer (all carbon parts will be cleaned by hand.) Your wheels will be inspected for wear, cleaned and trued. All bearings will be cleaned and inspected. If they need to be replaced we’ll let you know and get your approval. All cables and cable housings wil be replaced. Then your bike will be reassembled and regreased and all bolts will be torqued to manufacturer specs. Overhaul special price is $75 labor and a $40 parts allowance (this covers cables and housing.) If you need any additional parts we’ll discuss it with you first. |

Making Your Holiday Shopping Easier at Urban Tri
The holidays are right around the corner and to make your or a loved one’s shopping a little easier we have put bows on popular gift recommendations around the store.
You can also take advantage of our “Holiday Registry.” Stop in and tell us what items you’d like around the store and we’ll enter the list into your profile card. People shopping for you can request your list and we’ll print it out for them.
Pedal for Pancakes is BACK!
Pedal for Pancakes starts Saturday, November 3rd. Doors open at 9:00 AM. Ride for 60 to 90 minutes and then eat our free pancakes. Want to use one of our trainers? Send an email with “Kinetic Reservation” and that Saturday’s date in the subject line to info@urbantri.net. On Friday we will send a confirmation to the first 10 people to reserve and let everyone else know they are welcome to join us with their own trainer.
Kinetic Trainers to Sponsor Pedal for Pancakes
This year Kinetic has been generous enough to help us set up a fleet of demo trainers. This year we’ll have 10 Kinetic Road Machine fluid trainers at our disposal. If you’re one of the first 10 people to reserve a trainer each week it’ll be waiting at Urban Tri for you to use. This gives folks who don’t have a trainer an opportunity to try, what we believe to be, the best fluid trainer on the market and it gives people with an older trainer the chance to see if it’s time to upgrade. Either way, all you have to do is bring your bike in and ride. And after the ride – pancakes! And it’s all free.
How could this get any better? Well, we will be giving away a brand new (not a demo model) Kinetic Road Machine fluid trainer with a riser block and a Kinetic cycling jersey and Kinetic cycling shorts at the end of the Pedal for Pancakes season (roughly the end of April.) To qualify, just participate in any of the Pedal for Pancakes sessions and enter the drawing. Every time you join us for Pedal for Pancakes you can enter the drawing, meaning the more chances you have of winning. It’s kind of like The Hunger Games but without the starvation and murder. May the odds and pancakes be always in your favor and flavor.
Watch Kona At Urban Tri This Saturday!
Too fast! NBC will be broadcasting the Ironman World Championships this Saturday, October 27th from 3 pm to 5 pm.
We will have the show on the big screen. We’ll give out free Pineapple and Island Nectar Roctane gels and rumor has it the speakeasy might be open again.
I Feel Bad Posting This
With the weather as beautiful as it has been I feel somewhat bad posting this, but soon enough the weather won’t be quite so nice and we won’t be able to ride our bikes outside. Urban Tri just received a shipment of Kinetic Road Machine fluid trainers and accessories. We love these trainers and think you will too (when you have to ride in place in your basement.)
Stop in and check them out. If you purchase a trainer, mat, sweat catcher and riser block you’ll get 20% off the accessories.
We will also be using this model as demo trainers for our upcoming Pedal for Pancakes rides starting Saturday, November 3rd. Look for more details coming soon.
